The Swift Current Broncos took the Prince Albert Raiders to overtime last night, only to lose 4-3 in the extra frame.

The Raiders scored two early goals in the first period.  Then Keegan Dansereau scored his 30th of the year, and Justin Dowling followed suit to tie the game in the second period.

The two teams traded goals in the third period with John Negrin scoring for the Broncos to send it to the extra frame.  Dustin Cameron scored on the power play for the Raiders for the extra point.

Travis Yonkman started for the Broncos, but was pulled after allowing two goals on eight shots. Morgan Clark finished the game making 21 saves for the loss.  Steven Stanford made 28 saves for the Raiders.

The Broncos recorded their first overtime loss of the season, and now have a 28-23-1-1 record, which is good for 5th place in the Eastern Conference.

They take on the Raiders for the third time in less than a week to finish off the home-and-home tonight at the Credit Union iplex.

It is also Broncos' Founders Night, as the team will honour 13 men who helped bring the Western Hockey League back to Swift Current in the 1986/87 season.  Fans are advised that parking will likely be limited tonight because of the SaskPower Scotties draw happening in the adjacent Curling Club.

You can catch tonight's action on the Eagle 94.1FM starting with the pre-game show at 7:00pm, and the play-by-play at 7:30pm.
