The Swift Current Broncos opened up the pre-season on a losing note last night.

     They dropped a 4-1 decision to the Edmonton Oil Kings in the opener of an exhibition tournament in St. Albert, Alberta.

     Adam Lowry scored the Broncos' only goal, with Andy Blanke and Reece Scarlett pitching in for assists.  Morgan Clark and Austin Smith both saw time in the Broncos' net, combining for 24 saves.

     The Broncos wrap up the tournament this afternoon against the Regina Pats.

     In other action at the tournament, Regina lost to Medicine Hat 4-3, and Red Deer blanked Moose Jaw 3-0.  Elsewhere, Seattle doubled-up Portland 4-2, Kamloops edged Vancouver 3-2, and Saskatoon beat Prince Albert 6-2.
