For the second time in a week, the Swift Current Broncos have dealt their leading scorer.

After then-leader Joona Kiviniemi was sent to Vancouver earlier this week, the Broncos and Red Deer Rebels linked up to send forward Ben King to Alberta in exchange for three players and a draft pick.

King was tied for the team lead with eight points (4 G, 4 A) in 16 games, still looking for the production that was forecast after Swift snagged him 13th overall in the 2017 Bantam Draft.

He finishes his stint with the Broncos having compiled nine goals and 34 points in 71 games.

Heading back Swift Current's way are 2002 forwards Cohner Saleski and Jordan Borysiuk, 2004 forward Parker Lalonde, and a 2020 third-round pick.

Saleski was originally drafted four picks after King in the '17 draft (17th) by the Prince Albert Raiders, but was dealt to the Rebels at the start of October.

In nine games combined between the Raiders and Rebels, Saleski had two assists. His lone assist as a member of the Rebels came October 4 against the Broncos at the iPlex.

Borysiuk, meanwhile, was a third round pick by the Rebels in '17 (63rd overall). He spent last season at three different levels - Midget AAA and AJHL in Lloydminster, as well as a game with the Rebels. He scored at all three levels, piling up 26 goals over 50 games in the 18-19 campaign.

In two games this year, he's failed to find the stat sheet.

Lastly, Lalonde was just recently taken in the sixth round (114th overall) in May by the Rebels, after recording 24 goals and 50 points in 31 games for the Warman Bantam AA Wildcats.

Lalonde is at the Midget AAA this season with the Saskatoon Blazers, where he has two goals and five points in 10 games.

As for the 2020 third-rounder, it's the latest of what looks to be a plethora of assets come May, 2020.

As it stands right now, the Broncos will hold two second-rounders, this third, four fourths, two fifths, and a sixth in the first half of the draft.

Swift Current is back to action Friday night when they're in Regina battling the last-place Pats.
