The Swift Current Broncos staged a comeback from a big, early deficit, but again they fell short in a 6-5 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings at home last night.

The Broncos were pounded 10-1 in Brandon the night before, and were down 5-0 after 20 minutes last night. They then staged a rally with four un-answered goals by Jordan Evans, Adam Lowry, Tanner Muth and Christian Magnus, but a late goal by the Wheaties put the game out of reach.

Trevor Cameron added another goal, and Mark Friesen made 31 saves in the loss. This puts the Broncos six points behind the Raiders for eighth in the Eastern Conference with 10 games left.

The Broncos head to Moose Jaw on Wednesday.
