A trio of goals in the first half of tonight’s game was more than enough for the Moose Jaw Warriors to upend the Swift Current Broncos for the second time in as many nights in pre-season play.

The Warriors received goals from five separate skaters including a goal and an assist each from Calder Anderson and Maximus Wanner in their 5-2 victory at Mosaic Place.

Midway thru the first frame right winger Tate Schofer opened the scoring for Moose Jaw and with 50 seconds left in the period, Wanner extended the lead to 2-0.

For the third exhibition game in a row Warriors forward Robert Baco netted a goal stretching Moose Jaw’s advantage to 3-0.

Broncos forward Raphael Pelletier converted on a powerplay for Swift Current seven and a half minutes into the final period to cut the Warriors lead to 3-1.

Just over five minutes later, Swift Current struck again on another powerplay as Josh Filmon netted a goal making it 3-2.

The Broncos attempted comeback was short-lived as Warriors Centre Brayden Yager scored 62 seconds after Filmon to restore Moose Jaw’s two-goal lead at 4-2.

Anderson would add an empty netter for Moose Jaw rounding out the game's scoring.

The 0-2 Broncos will play their next pre-season game in Swift Current at the Innovation Credit Union iPlex Friday night when they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers to town.
