Swift Current Bronco forward Cole Nagy is no stranger to the sport of golf and is just adept without skates as he is with.

The 19-year-old centre was in Warman on the weekend competing in the final event of the Maple Leaf Junior Tour's Saskatchewan season.

Nagy shot a second-round 68 at The Legends golf club in Warman to take the Junior Division Order of Merit trophy.

The two-day tournament on August 22 - 23 hosted golfers between the ages of 10 to 19 in various divisions.

Nagy entered day two 6 strokes behind the lead after shooting 77 on day one, but charge ahead in a wild finish; dropping an eagle and five birdies in the span of 9 holes to climb back for the win.

Four players in the Junior division finished within a stroke of each other. Nagy's total of 145 for the tournament put him only a single stroke ahead of second place's Blake Reimer of Edmonton.

The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour hosts approximately 90 tournaments per year in Canada.
