The Swift Current Broncos are stumbling right along.

     Last night, they gave up five goals in the first perion, and a season-high eight goals overall in an 8-6 loss to the Kootenay Ice.

     Kootenay's top line of Kevin King, Dustin Sylvester, and Steele Boomer combined for 12 points as the Ice won their 13th game in a row.

     The Broncos gave up five goals in the first period.  Starting G Morgan Clark was chased from the net in the first period after allowing 4 goals on 11 shots.

     The Broncos trailed throughout the game, but got to 7-6 in the third period before the Ice scored the empty netter with a minute to play.

     The Broncos have lost the last four of five games, and have given up the first goal in the last eight-straight games.

     The Broncos remain at 9th place in the conference with a record of 24-22-0-2.  They now take on Regina in a weekend home-and-home set beginning in Regina tomorrow night.
