Arthur Miller and Dom Schmiemann scored as the Swift Current Broncos fell 3-2 to Saskatoon in pre-season play.

It was in some ways a bounce-back effort for the Broncos after a 5-2 loss to Moose Jaw on Thursday.

"The kids played really well tonight," said Broncos Coach and Director of Player Personnel Manny Viveiros. "We had a much younger lineup and the kids really worked hard. That was the effort we expect. With a little luck we could have won the game."

It was a special teams filled affair as the Bronos went 1/8 on the power play, while Saskatoon was 1/6.

The Blades pulled ahead for good midway through the third period. Miller had just tied the game at 2 for Swift Current on a power play, but less than a minute later Cameron Hebig struck shorhanded for Saskatoon and took the momentum right back.

Joel Hofer stopped 29 of 32 shots in a losing causae for Swift Current, while Joek Gryzbowski made 27 saves for Saskatoon.

The Broncos are now off until Friday, September 8th when they visit Lethbridge. September 10th is their only home game of the pre-season slated for the Fairview West Arena.
