It's the final game before the Christmas break as the Swift Current Broncos host the Saskatoon Blades tonight at the Credit Union I-plex.

Saskatoon beat Swift Current 4-3 on Friday, but the teams have split the season series so far.

Swift Current's Assistant Coach Darren Evjen said they can't afford to give up opportunities to Saskatoon's big guns.

"You've got to watch your turnovers, they're a team that thrives off turnovers, and offensive opportunities," he said, "those guys can score, they don't need three chances, they need two, and they're each probably going to score two, so we have to make sure we don't turn the puck over, we have to be physical."

Broncos forward Colby Cave said they need to play a bit tighter defensively this time.

"Just play consistent defense, there's a few little cracks that happened in the game in Saskatoon, if we shut them down in our end it will create turnovers and produce offensively in their end."

The Broncos have won twice and lost twice in four games against the Blades so far this season.

They're coming off a 4-0 win over Kootenay, while the Baldes are on a six game winning streak.

You can hear tonight's game on The Eagle 94.1 with The New Pioneer Co-op Home Centre Broncos Hockey at 6:30pm.
