Former Bronco Jordan Peddle and the Eastern Conference leading Edmonton Oil Kings are in town tonight.

It's their third meeting of the season with the Broncos. Edmonton won the first two and have earned points in eight of their last ten games. Swift Current is coming off back-to-back wins against Red Deer and Victoria.

"They've got a lot of scoring punch," said Broncos Assistant Coach Andy Schneider. "We've got to be greasy... play physical, get pucks in and hammer away."

Schneider knows the Broncos have to protect the puck against Edmonton.

"If you turn the puck over they're going to make you pay," Schneider said. "We saw that in Edmonton. We were in that game and we started turning pucks over. Sooner or later, they've got so much firepower that they're going to score."

The Broncos are hoping for another strong outing from veteran goaltender Jon Groenheyde. He's been terrific in January with a 4-3 record and a 0.929% save percentage.

"He seems to be in control," Schneider said. "The last three games he's been outstanding. If we're going to make a legitimate push here for the playoffs he's going to have to play that that every game to give us a chance to win."

Game time is 7:05pm at the Credit Union iPlex and our pre-game show starts at 6:30pm on The Eagle 94.1 FM.
