It may be early in the season, but tonight's game between Swift Current and Brandon matches up the top two teams in the WHL East Division standings.

It's also a heated division rivalry, and a battle of the two better power plays in the league.

"We haven't seen them, there's lots of changes up front for them," said Broncos Assistant Coach Darren Evjen. "Their D core is very strong and they have a very good goaltender."

Evjen added the Broncos will have to make sure they aren't giving Brandon too many opportunities.

"They're another good power play team, you gotta stay disciplined, and you gotta compete, you gotta compete for 60 minutes."

Both teams have their man advantage at over 30% early in the season. Swift Current is coming into tonight's game with a 1-0-2 record. They've had 3-0 leads in all three of their games, but lost two of them in overtime. Brandon swept Regina in a home and home before beating Saskatoon 9-6 on Wednesday.

The Broncos continue a busy stretch of home games with the Wheat Kings tonight and Saskatoon tomorrow.
