There could be a hometown goalie between the pipes for the Swift Current Broncos next season.

Yesterday the WHL club swung a deal with the Prince George Cougars, acquiring Swift Current-born netminder Jacob Herman in exchange for goalie Jordan Fairlie.

This past season, Herman was able to log three games in the SJHL with the Yorkton Terriers before the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 18-year-old is no stranger to wearing a Swift Current logo on his chest either, as he played all of his minor hockey in the city and spent two years with the Legionnaires.

Herman has some WHL experience, playing two games for the Cougars in the 2019-20 season.
