After a couple of days off and coming off of a 7-3 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings in Manitoba, the Swift Current Broncos are back at home taking on a familiar opponent in the Saskatoon Blades.

Voice of the Broncos, Shawn Mullin, with a game-day preview:

That aforementioned Broncos loss at home was an October 27 contest where the Broncos lost 4-3 thanks to a hat-trick from Blades forward Cameron Hebig.

This time around, Broncos associate coach Ryan Smith says they need to be focused and ready to play.

"Well, we should learn a lesson on not taking them lightly. We lost to them at home when we came out flat and they took advantage of that," he said. "They're a team that's up and down - when they're on they're very good. We need to get it behind their defence - again a team that has some younger D - put it behind them, make them make plays, and watch for their top line... Hebig, (Braylon) Shmyr - these guys are good hockey players. They've scored a lot of goals in this league, and hurt us last time."

The two forwards lead the Blades in scoring this season (Hebig - 30 points, Shmyr - 24 points). Hebig has three goals and three assists against the Broncos this season, tops on Saskatoon, despite playing in three out of four games in the season series.
