The Swift Current Broncos went one-for-two on a weekend homestand, losing 4-1 to the Edmonton Oil Kings last night.

Graham Black got the only goal for the Broncos in the second period, while the Oil Kings had a pair of goals from Stephane Legault. T. J. Foster and Mitchell Moroz got the other goals for Edmonton.

Broncos Goalie Jon Groenhyde made 29 saves in the loss, in his second start for the Broncos, and first against his former team after being dealt for forward Jordan Peddle, who was held off the scoresheet in his return to Swift Current.

 

The Broncos host Prince George in their next game on Wiener Wednesday at the Credit Union iplex.
