The Swift Current Broncos and Tri-City Americans before Friday's game at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, WA.

 

 

The Swift Current Broncos are now 0-for-2 on the US swing, after dropping a 5-1 decision to the US Division-leading Tri-City Americans Friday night.

Marcus Messier opened the scoring for the Americans in the first, but Colby Cave got the Broncos on the board with his fourth of the season to tie it up, but the Americans replied with four unanswered goals, including a pair from Adam Hughesman, who is now fourth in WHL scoring with 43 points. Brendan Shinnimin and Mason Wilgosh rounded out the scoring for Tri-City.
 
Broncos goalie Jon Groenhyde made 30 saves in a losing cause, while Eric Comrie made 24 stops in the Americans' net.
 
The Broncos drop to 10-13-2-1 and now travel to Everett to take on the struggling Silvertips, who are last in the US Division with a 5-16-0-4 record. You can hear tonight's game on the Eagle 94.1 starting with the pre-game show at 8:30pm, and the face-off at 9:05pm.
