The Swift Current Broncos are reporting their second-consecutive operating profit.

The hockey club made $89,550 last season after a strong second half, which saw crowds and revenues increase dramatically.

Broncos' Assistant General Manager Eldon Moberg says they made up a lot of ground in the second half.  "It was exciting in the facility (in the second half); lots of people, and with lots of people that means you get the spin-off revenues as well.  Concessions, 50/50 sales, and private suites.  Just having a fully-functional facility was important after the first half of what we went through."

Chairman of the Board of Directors, Joe Arling was excited with how it worked out last season.  "Looking at the numbers of the financial statement of what the back half of the year did, we have to be very optimistic that we've nailed it of what we planned five years ago."

The Franchise has now added over $251,000 in equity over the last two seasons after losing over $555,000 the three previous seasons before that.

The Board of Directors also grew by one person with the addition of Trent McCleary and Ryan Plewis.  Long-time Board Member Wally Walker is resigning his position.
