The Swift Current Broncos are in the black for the second straight year.

Their Board of Directors announced a profit of $133,465 for the 2014-15 season. That comes after a profit of nearly $200,000 in 2013-14.

"We're happy with that number," Broncos Assistant General Manager and Director of Business Operations, Dianne Sletten told scbroncos.com. "But we can't be complacent."

"We need to continue to work hard to fill seats for home games."

In a press release the Broncos noted the profit was due largely to a decrease in the education fund liability.

The two years of profit come after a slight loss in 2012-13, a small profit in 2011-12 and a significant loss in 2010-11. The trend indicates a more stable financial picture for the Broncos in recent years as they continue to work off their new strategic plan.

Their cash on hand improved by approximately $122,775 due to a slight increase in season ticket revenue, successful fundraising events, and corporate sponsorship.

The Broncos pointed to a couple of key changes and expenses in 2014-15. They introduced a new jersey and logo to re-brand the team in the style of the old 80s colours They also added
a new customized and integrated accounting system, POS system in the Stable, season ticket holder database and corporate advertising management system.

The team also tracked their staff and player volunteer hours at 614 over the year.
