The Swift Current Broncos are into their final day of preparation for their playoff series with Regina.

The team gets set to make the trip to Regina for games one and two of the opening-round, best-of-seven affair.

Yesterday over the lunch hour, Broncos' Head Coach and General Manager Dean Chynoweth hosted the annual General Manager's Luncheon.

The Broncos are hoping to put in a better performance in game one than they did last year, when they failed to show up in a 4-0 loss.

Chynoweth says it's something they've addressed.  "It's something we've talked about.  A lot of it was lack of experience, a lack of maturity.  We came out flat out of nerves last year.  I still expect there to be nerves, but I expect us to settle down a lot quicker."

Chynoweth likes his team's chances heading in, and is also excited about the playoff atmosphere around the city.  "The guys sense it; they're all excited.  You can tell when they come in for practice, having been around town.  The atmosphere in the building, though is what's most important.  The kids really feed off that.  With our increased attendance, it's been so noticeable for the guys.  Come playoff hockey, we hope that's our seventh man."
