The annual WHL Bantam draft is two weeks away.

The Broncos will have the 9th pick overall in round one and they're confident they'll get a good player at that position.

Swift Current Broncos Head Coach and General Manager, Dean Chynoweth, has been scouting recently across western Canada working closely with Head Scout Jaime Porter.  He says the majority of the talent is in B.C. and Alberta this year.   Chynoweth adds there isn't a lot of depth to the bantam crop this season and there isn't a clear-cut first pick.

The Portland Winterhawks have the first pick overall.  They are said to be eyeing Luke Moffat from Phoenix, AZ.

The Broncos featured five former first round bantam picks on their roster this past season including Jeremy Schenderling, Kyle Bortis, Eric Doyle, Paul Postma and Geordie Wudrick.
