A potential glimpse into the future for Swift Current Broncos fans Friday night at the Credit Union iPlex.

As they have all season, local fans will once again have the chance to watch Broncos prospect and Legionnaires forward Ethan Regnier, but competing with the visiting Prince Albert Mintos will be Swift Current's 2016 first round pick, Logan Barlage.

Barlage currently leads the Saskatchewan Midget 'AAA' Hockey League in goals with 26 and sits second in points with 54.

The fourth overall pick in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft also had a two goal and one assist performance earlier in the season against the Legionnaires.

Meanwhile, Regnier, an eleventh round draft pick of the Broncos in 2015, is not far behind Barlage.

At the moment he sits tied for fifth in the league scoring race with 45 points.

Friday's contest between the Legionnaires and Prince Albert Mintos will be the first of a key two game series, with the two teams set to meet again Saturday.

Entering the game, Swift Current trails the Mintos by seven points in the standings, but could make up ground with a pair of wins.

In their two previous meetings, Prince Albert got the better of the Legionnaires both times, downing Swift Current 3-2 and 5-1.

On hand for Friday night's game from the iPlex will be a trio of current Swift Current Broncos.

Tanner Mole, Riley Stotts and Ryley Lindgren are all expected to be in attendance Friday's Mintos-Legionnaires clash, as a part of the SWT Hockey Skills Challenge that will take place during the intermission.

Anyone wanting to will have the chance to test their shooting skills against the three Broncos in the iPlex lobby.

Puck drop for Friday night's game is scheduled for 8:00pm.

The Legionnaires and Mintos will then meet up again Saturday at 3:45pm, also at the Credit Union iPlex.
