With players getting healthy and coming back from NHL camp the Swift Current Broncos had to clear some roster space.

They've reassigned both 17-year-old goaltender Caiden Kreitz and defenceman Matthew Stanley. Both have chosen to play for Junior A clubs while the Broncos retain their WHL rights.

Kreitz put on a good show in camp and earned a WHL contract despite being an undrafted netminder. He was the 2nd All-Star team goaltender in Alberta Midget AAA last season and will play with fellow Broncos prospect Logan Drackett for the Calgary Canucks of the AJHL.

Stanley was an 8th round bantam draft pick of the Broncos and had a solid pre-season on a crowded blue line. He will suit up for the Steinback Pistons in the MJHL.

The moves leave the Broncos with 16 forwards, 9 defencemen and 2 goaltenders. However, they are missing Cole Johnson, Andreas Schumacher and Jordan Harris to injury. Only Harris is listed as day-to-day while the other two are out longer term.

Swift Current's next game is on the road in Red Deer this Friday night.
