The Swift Current Broncos have cut ties with a couple of veteran players before training camp.

They officially released overage forward Austin Adamson and 19-year-old defenceman Mark Taraschuk.

Adamson joined the Broncos at last season's trade deadline from Red Deer for an 8th round bantam draft pick.

He put up a goal and 4 assists in 24 games with Swift Current. In total Adamson had 20 points in 134 WHL games.

His release leaves the Broncos with Calvin Spencer as the only overage player on the roster.

Taraschuk came to Swift Current last season from Brandon in the Jordan Thomson trade.

He had a goal and was a -5 in 19 games with Swift Current.

Taraschuk left the Broncos in mid-February to return home to Winnipeg.

He has 11 points in 69 career WHL games.
