After trading Jake DeBrusk to Red Deer, the Swift Current Broncos made another smaller deal today.

They sent Swedish 19-year-old forward Andreas Schumacher to Seattle for no announced return.

The move frees up an import spot that could be filled by Seattle's release of Swedish 18-year-old forward Gustav Olhaver.

The 6'7 Olhaver will now go on waivers after putting up 5 points in 31 games so far this season for Seattle. He was a 7th round pick of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2015 NHL draft.

As a first year import player Olhaver could not be traded.

Schumacher had 17 points in 65 games last season for Swift Current. He has been held to only 3 in 17 games after starting this season with an upper body injury.

The Broncos host Moose Jaw today at 4pm. They've called up 2015 first round bantam draft pick Riley Stotts for a few games in the midst of their recent roster moves.
