The Swift Current Broncos opened the WHL season with a split of their home and home series against Moose Jaw.

The Broncos won 4-1 on Friday and lost 2-1 on Saturday.

Assistant Coach Darren Evjen says there are lots of lessons to learn from the games.

Broncos' netminder Mark Friesen had a solid weekend stopping 52 of the 55 shots he faced for a .945 save percentage.

Next up for Swift Current is a road game in Regina this Wednesday on The Eagle 94.1.
