The Swift Current Broncos earned a split on the road this weekend, but they weren't happy with their performance in a 5-2 loss to Moose Jaw on Saturday.

"We just weren't there mentally to make good decisions with the puck or checking. It started basically from the back end out," Assistant Coach Darren Evjen said on The Eagle 94.1 post game show on Saturday night regarding the Broncos performance.

The Broncos were out shot 15-1 and out scored 4-0 in the 2nd period of that loss, despite starting the weekend with a 3-2 win in Regina.

The good news for the Broncos is that Brandon also split their games on the weekend so they remain just 10 points out of the final playoff spot currently occupied by the Wheat Kings.

Swift Current heads to Saskatoon tomorrow and hosts Lethbridge on Wednesday.
