Isaac Poulter made 40 saves as the Swift Current Broncos kept it close with the top team in the WHL tonight.

In the end they couldn't put enough pressure on Prince Albert in a 3-1 loss.

"We kind of hung around like we usually do," said Broncos Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Dean Brockman. "There was times when we had plays to make and we threw pucks away... we had too many guys panic with the puck and that's tough when you're playing against a good team because they'll make you pay."

The Broncos were within striking distance the whole game, but only managed 16 shots on the Prince Albert goal.

"At times we had some good push and some good pace," Brockman said. "But we can't throw the puck away as much as we did tonight and expect to win."

Dante Hanoun, Spencer Moe and Parker Kelly carried the day for the Raiders. Hanoun had a goal and two assists, while Kelly scored twice and Moe had two helpers.

It took until early in the second period for Hanoun to open the scoring completing a give-and-go with Moe. Kelly then quickly made it 2-0 driving the net with speed for his 26th of the season.

Joona Kiviniemi got the Broncos back to within a goal early in the third period one-timing in his team leading 14th of the season on the power play. Alex Moar had an assist on the goal and has 7 assists in his last 8 games.

Kelly extended Prince Albert's lead again late in the period as a Hanoun shot got lost in Connor Horning's skates and then Hanoun set Kelly up for a quick shot from the slot.

Boston Bilous made 15 saves to get the win for Prince Albert as the Raiders were missing Ian Scott, Brett Leason and Sean Montgomery to minor injuries. Tyler Smithies was sick and sat out the game for Swift Current.

The Broncos have now lost six straight games. They host Lethbridge on Friday.
