One of the many skirmishes at the end of last night's hockey game at the I-Plex

The Swift Current Broncos played their fifth game in seven days last night and it showed. The Broncos dropped a 7-1 decision to the Calgary Hitmen in front of over 2500 fans at the Credit Union I-Plex.

The game was still within reach in the second period when the Broncos enjoyed three minutes of 5 on 3 powerplay but couldn't capitalize. Before stalling last night the Bronco powerplay was rolling, ranked second in the league and operating at 36 percent. Coda Gordon scored the lone goal for the Broncos while Victor Rask had a hat trick for the Hitmen.

Next action for the Broncos is on Friday when they head to Prince Albert to take on the Raiders.
