The Broncos decided to roll the dice by selecting another European goalie in the import draft this morning despite recent disappointments. They selected Finnish goaltender Eetu Laurikainen with their twentieth overall pick in the CHL Import draft this morning.

"Ya we are kinda two for two with European Goalies since I've been here but we put a lot of work into talking to his people. I talked to the kid a few times before this, he wants to come over to the Canadian Hockey League and play. Swift Current is not a problem, he's excited." said Broncos Coach and GM Mark Lamb

Laurikainen played last year in the Jr. A Under twenty Finnish Elite league with J-Y-P  posting a 3.15 goals against average and .919 save percentage in twenty-six games played.

The Broncos are hoping for better luck with their import selection this year. The Broncos picked Norwegian goalie Steffen Soberg sixth overall last year.

After signing a WHL contract and coming over for training camp, Soberg went home and ended up playing in the Norwegian league.
