The Swift Current Broncos have trimmed their overage scenario down by a player as they've cut Ryan Pouliot.

Pouliot suited up for three games this year with the Broncos registering a minus three rating and collecting 4 penalty minutes.

The North Vancouver product didn't spend long on the waiver wire as his hometown team the Vancouver Giants picked him up.

Pouliot is in his fifth Western Hockey League season and has played in 172 regular season games splitting time between the Red Deer Rebels, the Kootenay Ice, and the Broncos.

With the move, the Broncos now have four overage players on their roster in Andrew Fyten, Tanner Nagel, Matthew Stanley, and Artyom Minulin (who's currently injured).

The Broncos are back in action on Friday night when they host the Regina Pats in a battle of 0-4 teams.
