The opening weekend of the WHL's Conference finals is in the books.

 

     In Calgary, the Hitmen scored two third-period goals for a 5-4, come-from-behind win over the Brandon Wheat Kings.  Calgary leads the best-of-seven series 2-0.  The series now shifts to Brandon.

     Out west, Casey Pierro-Zabotel scored in overtime to give Vancouver a 4-3 win.  The Western Conference final is tied 1-1 as it shifts to Kelowna for the next two games.
