One of the greatest players in CFL history is getting set to visit Swift Current on Saturday.

Montreal Alouettes Quarterback Anthony Calvillo will be the keynote speaker at the sold out Swift Current Indians Field of Dreams Sportsman's Dinner.

Calvillo previewed the presentation he will be giving.

Full Interview with Anthony Calvillo"Well I go way back to the beginning where I grew up," said Calvillo. "I'm going to show pictures of where I grew up as a kid and really talk about the mentors that really help me out at a young age and I will continue to talk about that throughout my high school college days and into my professional career."

He has  a few key messages.

"All it takes is one person to believe in you and then you have to take advantage of that opportunity," added Calvillo. "That;s what I try to share with everybody. And I have dealt with so much adversity outside football and on the football field and I explain how you can grow from that."

Calvillo is looking forward to visiting a part of "Riders Nation" and hopes even though he plays for Montreal he'll be well received.

"There are some slides that refer to the Grey Cup and I don't know how they're going to respond," Calvillo said. "I am going to talk about the experience of the back-to-back wins we had and I'm going to be right in the heart of the Roughrider family so it's going to be very interesting."

The 40-year-old signed a new contract this off-season despite having already won championships and set several CFL records.

"I really enjoy staying at the top of my level," Caivillo said. "I want to continue to help the team win another championship. If it wasn't fun then of course I would just say enough is enough. My drive to be number one is still in me and that's what drives me every year."

The Alouettes recently went through a coaching change as Marc Trestman left to join the Chicago Bears of the NFL. They replaced him with CFL rookie coach Dan Hawkins and a whole new staff.

"I was impressed with the entire group," Calvillo noted. "There is CFL experience there, NFL experience there... I'm looking forward to the new challenges and new ideas they're going to bring."

Calvillo is the all-time professional football passing yards leader and a three-time Grey Cup Champion.
