A quick break from the ice was all that was required for Team Canada as they overcame a heartbreaking loss to South Korea yesterday afternoon, with a dominant win over Finland last night.

Returning to the ice no more than two hours after missing her final shot for a victory against Korea, Team Canada managed to move on early, downing the Fins 7-1.

"Today we had like an hour to move on from the loss. That's difficult. The girls were great to me and they rallied and all played really well in front of me in this second game which makes my job so much easier. When I miss a shot like that to lose a game earlier that helps my confidence to have simple shots and they did a great job of that," Carey side outside of the locker room following her win.

Team Canada put the pressure on Finland early and often.

In the opening end, the Canadians put two points on the board, and even had an opportunity for three but Carey's draw came up light.

Canada then capitalized on a series of misses from the Finnish side, stealing one point in the second, another in the fourth, one in the fifth and two more in the sixth.

With the victory, Canada improves to 7-2 entering the final day of round robin play.

Their 7-2 record currently puts them in a log jam at the top of the leaderboard.

The Canadians share the top spot with Scotland, Japan and Switzerland, two of those three teams, Canada will play tomorrow.

Carey and company will begin their day with an afternoon tilt against Japan before re-igniting the Canada-Scotland rivalry tomorrow night, when Carey takes on Eve Muirhead.

"We're in a good place," said Carey. "If we split tomorrow we're in something, if we win both we're in a really good spot. Winning this game took the pressure off a little bit for tomorrow which is nice."

Also in the mix for the playoffs is Anna Sidorova and Team Russia.

The Russian squad are currently on the outside looking in by one game with a record of 6-3.

Draw 15, which will be played at 9:00am tomorrow morning will feature Finland against Sweden, Italy taking on South Korea, Japan versus Scotland and Russia going up against Germany.
