Canada's quest for gold continues at the Ford World Women's Curling Championships in Swift Current, with the Jennifer Jones foursome knocking off the USA 6-4 in Draw 11 on Tuesday night.

Canada had a team percentage of 96%, with Jones curling 93% herself.  She says that was their best team game, but she adds that US Skip Erika Brown played great, making a couple of big shots to keep them in the game.

Brown says they had to play well to keep up with Jones and her team, saying they hung in there for the first half, and got some ends with big shots, but missed a couple of key shots near the end.

The other Draw 11 games had a couple of fan favourites getting victories.  Norway, with their multi-colour trousers, beat Latvia 11-2 in eight ends, and Sweden defeated Russia 10-3 in seven ends.  Switzerland beat Japan 7-4 to round out the action.

Canada is still undefeated at 7-0, and they are in first place overall, but Eve Muirhead and Scotland are close behind in second at 6-1.  Many fans are looking forward to the Canada-Scotland match-up in the final round-robin draw on Thursday.

However, we have to get through Wednesday and Draw 12 first.  Canada's back on in the morning against Japan, Russia battles Norway, Latvia takes on Sweden, and Switzerland faces the USA.  It starts at 8:30am at the Credit union iplex.
