Canada is golden again in international women's hockey.

Caroline Oulette scored 1:50 into OT in the gold medal game of the World Women's Hockey Championships as Canada claimed the title for the first time since 2007 with a 5-4 win over the USA.

Shaunavon's Hayley Wickenheiser opened the scoring for Canada and got an assist. Earlier this morning, she thanked her fans with a post on her Facebook page reading: "Its 240am, I am laying in my bed exhausted from quite the day! Want to say thanks and much love to everyone who believed in us all the way! We are Canadian..we never quit!"

This is the 10th championship for Canada in the tournament's history.
