Travis Moen and the Canadiens force overtime


Vancouver can breathe a little easier.  Alex Burrows scored his second of the night in overtime as the Canucks defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 2-1 in Game 7.  The Hawks tied it late in the third with a short-handed goal from Jonathan Toews.  Chicago stormed back from a 3-games-to-none deficit to knot the series before falling in the decider.

In the other game seven last night, Shaunavon's Braydon Coburn and the Philadelphia Flyers knocked off Buffalo 5-2 to advance to the second round. Their next opponent is still to be deteremined.

Boston and Montreal are going the distance in their first-round series.  Brian Gionta had the game-winner on a second-period 5-on-3 power play as Stewart Valley's Traivs Moen and the Canadiens beat Boston 2-1 in Game 6.

The Bruins host Game 7 tonight.
