Three promising Swift Current Broncos prospects had strong years together for the Manitoba Midget AAA champion Winnipeg Wild last season.

Riley Stotts, Tanner Mole and Noah King were big parts of that championship victory and now come to Broncos camp with established chemistry.

"It's great," Stott said. "We're all working hard and our goal is to all be playing together."

For Mole it's built-in chemistry that could translate to success together in Swift Current.

"It helps a lot having that familiarity," Mole said. "Just knowing them helps figure out where they're going to be on the ice."

It was a breakout year for Mole offensively. He had 31 points in 42 regular season games, but 20 of them were in his last 18 games and he added 12 points in 10 playoff games.

"I think moving to center had a big impact on my game," Mole said. "I felt I could control more of the game and have impact on every area of the rink."

Stotts was Swift Current's first round bantam draft pick in 2015. He continued to turn heads in midget with 58 points in 38 games. He doesn't take too much credit for that.

"Having great linemates," Stotts said. "Moving the puck well, creating offence, getting shots on net, getting rebounds and getting loose pucks."

All three players learned valuable lessons about what it takes to win in the playoffs.

"It was amazing," Stotts said. "A great group of guys we bonded well. You've just got to be a tight group. You've got to work together, there can't be any grudges you're a team."

The three skaters for the Wild come in having gone through a similar experience to that of Tyler Adams, Connor Chaulk and Arthur Miller two years ago on the Saskatchewan Midget AAA champion Regina Pat Canadians.

Stotts, Mole and King all have good shots at making the Broncos this season. All three are signed but will still have to prove they belong with a large core of returning veterans.

They'll be in action in scrimmages all weekend and likely at the annual Blue vs. White game on Sunday at 1pm.
