Although it was an ugly win for the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday, two standout performers for the Green and White earned CFL Player of the Week awards.
Defensive end John Chick was named the Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week and third time this season. He had four tackles, three sacks and a force fumble in the win over Montreal.
Receiver Rob Bagg was named Canadian Player of the Week after registering six catches for 90 yards in that game. He also had a 30-yard reception for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter.
The Riders are off today, but return to practice Wednesday in preparation for Sunday's game in BC.
