Local hockey returns Friday with the Swift Current Broncos entertaining the Medicine Hat Tigers in the first game after the Christmas break.

The Broncos are third in the WHL's east division with a 16-17-3-2 record, and are two points back of the second-place Saskatoon Blades. The Tigers, meanwhile, are 5th in the Central Division at 15-18-2-0. Friday's game is the first of a home-and-home, with the second game set for Saturday in the Hat.

Face-off is at 7:00pm Friday from the Credit Union iplex, and you can hear it with the New Pioneer Co-op Home Centre Broncos Hockey on the Eagle 94.1 FM.
