The Swift Current Comp. Colts are off to the 3A 12-Man Moose Jaw Football League final.

Emmitt Guider threw a pair of touchdowns as the Colts defeated the Yorkton Raiders 21-7 yesterday at Colts Field.

Nic Baichu, Zach McCallum and Tristan Lockman all found the end zone for the Colts in the win.

Swift Current Comp. Colts Head Coach Derek Murdoch was feeling good after the game.

"The Colts are going to the ship (championship), the boys are pretty fired up. It feels good, it's been awhile we went in 2009 and things didn't work out. Obviously, we were upset that day as we had our season ended by (Moose Jaw) Peacock, now we get another chance. We've talked for awhile now since the loss to Peacock earlier in the season that this is where we wanted to go (to the championship game). That has been our mission, now we can go and let it play out," he said.

Murdoch also praised the toughness and compete level of his team following the game.

"There are guys that want it (the football), they want to score every time they touch the ball. If Nic got his way we'd be throwing the ball to him every play and Tristan wants to run it every play. That's what you want, you want those guys to battle, bare down, and try to make that special thing happen. Right now we've got enough of them (our guys) going," Murdoch said Saturday post-game.
