The Colts will be in Weyburn tomorrow trying for their first win of the season

The Swift Current Colts football team will try for their first win of the season tomorrow.

Coming off of a tough loss last Thursday under the lights, the Colts will look to bounce back in Weyburn.

Swift Current Head Coach Derek Murdoch, says it's been a tough start for the team.

"It seems like forever since we played with the 9 or 10 day break in between. The guys are all itching to get out there and no one is really happy right now with the way things are, so we'll be looking to get on the bus tomorrow, get out of town and just go and focus on football. We don't have to worry anything going on around us, like the lights or extra people around. We just want to go down there and have a really strong start," he said.

Despite the fact that there last game was last Thursday, Murdoch hopes the extra rest days, help charge his squad for tomorrow's game.

Starting the season 0-3 certainly was not the hope for the Colts, but Murdoch feels the team still has the capability to make a run.

"We're really trying to hammer home with the guys that we are right there. It sounds crazy when your 0-3 to say that we are right in the mix, but we still think we are. We have talked about our goal to win these next 3 games that we have left in the regular season, and we'll host a playoff game. That's what we are shooting for," Murdoch added.

The Colts will return home on October 3rd, for a game against Estevan.
