The Swift Current Comp Colts soccer team clinched a berth in the SHSAA 3A Boys' Provincial Soccer Championship over the weekend with a second place finish at Regionals.

Playing host to the regional playoff, the Colts had to win their semi-final match against Prince Albert St. Mary's at Irwin Field to advance to Provincials.

Swift Current pulled away to a 3-1 halftime lead to take control of the game, and the fate of their season. Both teams added a second-half strike, as the Colts emerged with the 4-2 win.

In the final against the Prince Albert Carlton Crusaders, the Colts sputtered on offense against the dominant P.A. team in a 7-0 loss.

No matter for the Colts though, as they're off to Balgonie October 27 and 28 for the SHSAA 3A Boys' Provincial Soccer Championship.

The Comp Colts and Yorkton Comp Raiders square off in the opener Friday morning at 9 a.m. in the eight-team bracket-style tournament.
