The Swift Current Comp Colts boys soccer team opens up their bid to win a provincial title at home this weekend against Saskatoon St. Joseph school.

Saskatoon programs in the past have been all about ball control.

Full Interview with Chris Garner"It's going to be a tough thing with the weather out there," said Colts Head Coach Chris Garner. "It's sloppy conditions means the passes are going to be sloppy. So we have to work on controlling the ball and passing the ball in those types of conditions and we have been fortunate that the field is here so we have been practising and getting used to the field conditions as is, so that helps out with that."

Chris adds that Saskatoon and Regina are always favorites in provincial's because of their depth, but feels like his guys can make a splash in the tournament with having home field advantage.

"It's a lot nicer then going to a field you have never played on and not knowing exactly what conditions would be like. And then you get the students, and the teachers, you get the parents, you get other members of the community that can come out and cheer on the team, it gives the boys that extra boost, a little bit more adreniline. There is a lot of support, a lot of congratulations to the team, everyone seems pretty happy."
