It was a disappointing end to the season for former Bronco defenseman Dane Crowley.

Crowley and the top-ranked Everett Silvertips were upset in round two of the Western Hockey League playoffs by the Prince George Cougars.

Traded by the Broncos at the deadline, Crowley and the Silvertips were heavy favorites to compete for the WHL Championship.

Crowley admits Prince George and their forwards were too much to handle.  He says blowing a 3-0 third period lead in game six was the 'Tips undoing.

Despite the sooner than expected ending, Crowley says he had a great time in Everett and admits the fans are "pretty crazy".

Crowley may sign with the Tampa Bay Lightning in the off-season to begin his pro-hockey career.  He admits he doesn't really know where the talks are at.  He says he wouldn't mind another year in junior but would like to take the next step.

The former Broncos defenseman is now making the long trek from Everett to his home in Winnipeg.  He plans to spend some time in Swift Current before arriving home.
