The Swift Current Curling Club celebrated a milestone anniversary last night.

Long-time members and former provincial champions gathered at the Credit Union iplex to mark the club's 100th Anniversary.

Vice-President Clayton Wicks says it was a long road to get to the milestone with lots of good times and some runs with adversity, but it has been a pleasureable experience and adds it's great to celebrate the centennial in the brand new facility at the iplex.

Premier Brad Wall attended the event and brought a birthday gift... $150,000 in Provincial support for the highlight of the club's 100th season, the upcoming Ford World Women's Curling Championships to be held in the city next Spring.
