The Swift Current Curling Club held their annual general meeting on Thursday night.

Vice President Clayton Wicks says it was a great year for the local club, "We are probably going to be in the best shape the curling club has ever been in, and now it's time to sit down and carefully look at what they are going to do."

One of the main reasons for the strong financial position was the huge 50/50 jackpots at the Ford World Women's Curling Championships in the city last month.  Wicks says they don't know the final numbers from the World's but, without question, they think they did very well for the club.  He adds that the extra money is welcome since there's always new equipment needed, and work to be done at the rink.
