The first season back in the Prairie Junior Hockey League is in the books for the Cypress Cyclones.

The Maple Creek based Junior B expansion club finished out of the playoffs with only 9 wins.

"We didn't finish in the playoffs," said General Manager Sean Chapman. "The kids we had played very well. They were probably one of the hardest working teams in the league this year. We ended up with three kids in the top fifteen of scoring."

Each of Craig Fournier, Dallas McIntosh and Lane Sanderson had over 58 points but the Cyclones lacked scoring depth.

Chapman believes support from the community was more than they could have asked for and the Cyclones are committed to coming back to take another run at it next season.

However, it will be with a new President as Chapman stepped down from that role. He will remain on as GM.
