Hurricanes in action versus the Lions Game 1 of the series last Thursday

It's another do or die game for the Swift Current K-Motel Midget Hurricanes.

Their second round Midget AA playoff series with Lumsden-Bethune is tied heading into a third and deciding game tonight at Fairview West Arena.

Hurricanes Assistant Coach Mark Butikofer said after a dominant game 1 win, discipline was an issue in game 2, “We got into a little bit of penalty trouble early in the second and...just weren't able to climb out of it after they put a few power play goals away on us.”

Butikofer said after the penalty filled game 2 their key is to stay out of the sin bin, “It shouldn't be that simple but it really does come to that. They are a fast team, they really like to move the puck up ice, on the power play they can really take advantage with the scoring power that they do have. So for us if we can control the flow of the game stay out of the penalty box we should be in full control.”

He adds the home crowds have really been firing their team up and they look forward to a loud atmosphere tonight.

The Hurricanes only lost to Lumsden/Bethune once in the whole regular season.
