One Swift Current curling team will try to bring the Provincial Mixed Curling Championship back to the Swift Current Curling Club this weekend.

Taking place in Martensville, the Tim Horton's Mixed Provincial title will get underway today.

Carl deConinck Smith and his team based out of Swift Current, featuring third Kelsey Dutton, second Reagan Hadden and lead Ashley Resler will attempt to deliver the Swift Current Culing Club their third title in four year.

In 2013, Shaun Meachem's team claimed the provincial title, before Max Kirkpatrick won the event in 2014 and ultimately won the National title as well.

However, Saskatoon's Bruce Korte's win last year put an end to the Swift Current streak.

deConinck Smith and his team will get their bonspiel underway this afternoon.

They'll take on Jamie Regier of Watrous at 12:30pm.

Regardless of the outcome of their game this afternoon, the team will return to the ice this evening at 7:30pm.
