After round one of the Sony Open in Hawaii a Weyburn-ite is on top.

Graham DeLaet who was only able to golf two events last year due to a lingering back injury shot an amazing seven under par 63 yesterday to take the early lead in the Sony Open.

Delaet will tee off today for round two at 4:50 p.m. Saskatchewan time.

He is paired with John Rollins and Kris Blanks.

DeLaet's last PGA Tour event before this years Sony Open was June of last year.

Currently DeLaet has 26 events remaining in which he must earn at least $657,694 to retain his tour card.
