Christmas came very early this year for notable former Swift Current Bronco Ron Delorme, who was inducted into the Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame in early July.

Delorme tallied 20 goals and 37 points in 72 games in the southwest during the 1973-74 season, before the franchise moved to Lethbridge, where he spent his final two Junior hockey seasons.

The Saskatchewan hockey legend caught up with voice of the Broncos Shawn Mullin earlier this month, and discussed the momentous occasion this summer, as well as life as a hockey player in the 70's and 80's, and how his game would hold up in the 21st century.

Delorme went on to play in the CHL, WHA, SHL, before an eight-and-a-half year career in the NHL, split between the Colorado Rockies and Vancouver Canucks.

Upon his retirement after the 1984-85 season, Delorme moved into the scouting department for the Canucks for the 1986-87 season, and hasn't looked back.

He's in his 33rd year in Vancouver's scouting department, and the 19th as the Chief Amateur Scout.
